Experience

In 1999 Compaq established a product development group in Reading to work as part of its main TeMIP Engineering group in Valbone, France.  The group was charged with developing IP related applications for the TeMIP Platform.  TeMIP applications are written in C++.

Achievements

Managed a project to develop a CISCO Router Access Module product.  This project provided integration of CISCO routers into the rich fault management capabilities of the TeMIP framework and also provided configuration mechanisms that enable configuration scripts to be applied to CISCO routers in a controlled manner.

Travelled to Singapore to support the demonstration of an early version of the IP-VPN provisioning product including shipping a complete mini-network configuration of CISCO routers and TeMIP platforms.

Played a lead role in the technical direction, design, specification and implementation of an IP-VPN provisioning product.  This product supported the provisioning of MPLS IP-VPN networks for carrier networks including:

·         VRF Configuration of PE Routers

·         Configuration of CPE Routers

·         QoS (DiffServ) classification configuration of CPE and PE Routers

Conducted a short study into the possible integration of TeMIP with Orchestream VPN Service Activator
